Windows update agent 5.8.02469 for Windows Live Writer

Are you an active blogger and have been blogging on multiple blog platforms like wordpress, blogger, windows live etc.? Did you know that you could update your blogs from desktop applications (there are many of them freely available) without ever connecting online to your blog account? One of them is Windows Live writer that supports a good number of blog interfaces. Now this post is not to tell you about feature sets of windows live writer, It is about a general problem people encounter when they try to install it. It requires windows update agent 5.8.02469 to be downloaded and installed first. All you need to do is install WindowsInstaller-KB893803-x86.exe. It is the redistributable package for installing or upgrading Windows Installer. Free download available here:- Windows Installer 3.1 Redistributable (v2) .
